Are you considering expanding your business into Japan? The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is launching a program to attract international companies, offering comprehensive support to help them establish a sustainable presence in the Japanese market.
Selected companies will be eligible for the following benefits:
- Up to 100 million yen in financial support over three years.
- Assistance in establishing a subsidiary and setting up an office in Tokyo.
- Networking opportunities with Japanese companies, investors, universities, and research centers.
- Support for conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, collaborative R&D initiatives, and commercialization efforts.
- Professional services (legal, accounting, business development).
- Assistance with recruiting local talent.
The program aims to foster long-term collaborations with Japanese partners, particularly through R&D projects, co-development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures
This initiative is particularly relevant for Quebec companies operating in:
🧬 Life sciences and biotechnology
🩺 Digital health
🤖 Artificial intelligence
🏥 Medical technologies
⚛️ Quantum technologies
🌱 Clean technologies
… and, more broadly, in cutting-edge technologies.
Important criteria: The program is intended for companies that have not yet established a subsidiary or branch office in Japan and that wish to set up operations in Tokyo by March 2028.
