Pharma in Silica, a “Moonshot™” company!

Pharma in Silica, a precision chemotherapy company, has been recognized as a Top Moonshot Ventures™ by the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO).

The Class of 2026 brings together the 27 Canadian startups deemed the most promising across all sectors. They were selected from among thousands of companies reviewed this year by more than 100 Canadian angel networks and investment groups.

This national recognition comes at just the right time for Pharma in silica, which is raising US$10 million for the clinical and commercial development of OpPacli™, its first chemotherapy product. This safer and more effective cancer treatment targets the tumor while sparing the patient. The lead investor is Mr. Alan Davis of Keiretsu Canada. Pharma in silica thanks Keiretsu Forum Canada for the nomination and for its unwavering support. Congratulations to Kevin, Mira, and Ozan.

In closing, here’s an important note about the quality of NACO’s organization: despite last week’s (very) chilly and gray weather in Ottawa, the tulips were in bloom. Kudos to Claudio Royas, Calvin Henderson, and the entire team.

Poison the tumor, spare the patient

Pharma in silica’s precision chemotherapy targets solid tumors while sparing patients the painful, debilitating, and costly side effects of current treatments.

Our first product, OpPacli™, will enter a Phase Ib/IIa clinical trial in 15 months under the FDA’s 505(b)(2) accelerated approval pathway for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a deadly form of lung cancer.

Starting in 2028, our nanovector platform will enable our pharmaceutical partners to tap into the $25 billion market for cytotoxic drugs and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
